Music clipping software
I can clip DVD's. I can copy DVD's. I can do almost anything with video. But that doesn't help me right now.

I need to clips mp3's for a website, so that the entire thing isn't there to be stolen, just a teaser.

Anyone know a program to do it? I talked to one website designer, who said there were only a few very complicated programs to do it out there commercially.

Any help, anyone? Please?

It's free and it works and it's easy to use.

I Use WavePad. It's multi format, easy to use, and the demo version is free.

The folks in the Education department at work have some freeware they use for that, but I can't remember what it was--I'll ask tomorrow.

We used to have a fun product called CoolEdit, but Adobe bought out the company, turned the expensive professional CoolEditPro into Adobe Audition ($300), and discontinued the much cheaper CoolEdit. *sigh* Sometimes Adobe bugs me as much as Microsoft, in terms of sucking up smaller companies and removing any high-quality, affordable options.

You can do it in Windows Movie Maker, too.
