I don't get this... I have a couple of things I'm sending to people in Canada, through Amazon.  At first, I thought "just go with amazon.com", but then I wondered if amazon.ca would be better on shipping (since it's within Canada).

The DVD I wanted?  $14.49 US/$28.59 CA - which converts to $15.71 CA/$27.17 US.  Shipping to Canada was like $7.50, but it's still less than buying and shipping within Canada.

It used to make sense when the exchange rate was like 60c/$1, but now?

Oh, and why would the regular DVD vs BluRay be $14.49/19.99 US, $28.59/25.59 CA?  Yep, the standard more expensive than the Blu-Ray in Canada.

When I buy for folks in Canada and Europe from Amazon I buy a few at once and take advantage of the free shipping for over $25 to me.
then I send them myself and the postage is much cheaper than any vendor charges. If you sed them as a gift they dont have to pay an import tax.
